I'm pretty sure the WJ is wider.

Wj is wider and a different bolt pattern,I kinda doubt it will fit.Only thing that will bolt in wj is from another wj.If you can weld a jk axle can be made to fit,If i remember right the track bar mount and sway bar mounts need to be moved.

You know? It's really a shame that for so many years, Jeeps were all basically interchangeable for suspension and driveline parts, but the WJ is the bastard child. They changed just about everything to make it more of a "comfortable family car with off-road capabilities" to sell more to the masses. It marks the beginning of the end of Jeep as we know it.

I never had any problems with the brakes on my ZJ, but with the WJ, that's about all I'm doing is messing with those freaking brakes!

Jeep reused a lot of stuff a long time ago.The wj was a last of a dying breed of suv.Its jeeps last solid front axle suv the next body style went ifs.Same thing with the cherokee its replacement the liberty ifs also. Its not just jeeps even pickups have became more car like and smoother on the road.

The wj does have bigger brakes the most jeeps of its time,Its got factory high steer vs the y link the rest had. Some over on mallcrawlin have built wjs with everything from jk rubicon axles to 1 tons.Only thing i can i dislike about the wj is the gas tank placement. Its too low to me i know they had to do i for room for a spare tire well,But a lot of new cars sold today don't even have a spare tire anymore they give you a can of fix a flat stuff and a small air compressor.
