Uh-oh. Time to do my front axles/CV joints on my 2002 WJ, and NAPA's website is offering me a choice of axle lengths....
How do I determine the correct axle length? Is it a function of the front differential type? Or...????

I just went through the same thing on my 2000 WJ. Despite what the NAPA website says, there are actually only two different axle lengths (for each side), depending on whether you have full-time (QuadraTrac) or part-time 4WD.

Yes, it has to do with the internals of the D30 front axle. If it's got a factory LSD (Vari-lock) as the Quadratrac or Quadradrive systems do, the axles are different.
