i have the same thing in my 03 wj. the pipe from the cat to the muffler is 2.5". i purchased the 2.5 inlet/outlet and it was a slip on install. if you plan on just doing a turn down after the muffler just use a hack saw to cut your old muffler off and slip the new one on and clamp it down. if you want to run it using the OEM pipe from the muffler back i think you will need to fabricate a new pipe since OEM is 2.25". i like the sound of the super 44 on my wj. hope this helps

You can order it from 2"+
IMO, get a larger outlet. and custom done piping, or a simple turn down.
I did a 2.5" in 3" out with a turn down.

Also, if you do it yourself, be prepared to have issues getting it off. The bolts will need penetrant and an air hammer helps. The heating and cooling of the system forms a pretty tight bond.

the 44 is shorter than the original muffler so youre at least going to need a piece of pipe to go from the muffler to the existing pipe after the muffler. i dont know exactly how much youre going to need since i just did a turn down pipe after the muffler. hope this helps
