Default fitting my ZJ for "wranger" style removeable doors

Anyone ever done this? I discovered while painting my interior that I have tweeters up on the dash that are not hooked up. Thinking of fixing these and reading 4WD I had an idea of making it so I can easily remove the doors in my cherokee come spring/summer.

I know I would need to do the wiring up with quick connectors (single or block type) to disconnect it. Beyond that is the hinges. Since I never helped my dad remove doors I am unfamiliar with how the wrangler is set up.

What do I need to do beyond wiring to make this work?

Going doorless is fun...for about ten minutes. Then it gets to be a pain in the butt.

I always liked it with wranglers. In any event, I want the option.

Got them converted. Of course its snowing so, it'll be a while.

Can I off road with the doors off, or will the flex cause permanant issues? I'm afraid to hit a hard bump and have my doors not fit right again due to body flex/twist

if you dont have any sort of frame stiffeners don't run with the doors off. the unibody will flex and one run might not kill it over time it will. you could always find a second set of doors and make half doors out of them.

Was that just out driving on the street or off road? I know a lot of people go doorless on the street with no complaints. Also did you remove the hinge with your door? Mine were modified on the vehicle so that when they are removed they never need to be realigned. I'm just trying to see if your issue was due to driving without them or how you removed them.
