Feeling like an idiot
Have a 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo 2 wheel dr. Diode in alternator could not keep up with charging at night and with AC on . Disconnected neg cabel on battery, removed serpentine belt, disconnected electrical connection on alternator, removed two mounting bolts, can fairly easily move alternator side to side, BUT I CANNOT GET IT OFF THE &%#@ BRACKET. 
Any tricks, i dont know about? HELP PLEASE

How about this?
Locate the electrical connector on the top of the alternator, depress the locking tab and pull it out of the connector on the alternator body. Lay the connector aside for now. Locate the second connector on the rear of the alternator. Remove the retaining nut from the terminal with a socket and ratchet, then remove the wire from the terminal.
