alternator issue
Have a 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo 2 wheel dr. Wanted to remove alternator. All connections are disconnected the two mounting bolts are out. I can move the alternator fairly easily side to side, but regardless what I try I cannot remove from it the bracket. Any tricks I am missing?

Knowing which engine may help. My 99 4.0 only had two bolts holding
it on. Don't remember anything special about removing it.
Have you removed the belt?
Manual shows 3 for the 4.7.
Oh! and welcome to the site.
