Default Fan clutch replaced. Now does cold start-up sound when warm

2000 gc limited 4.7
Prolly normal, but read something about an open or closed loop that causes loud fan sound and longer to go into second like it usually does on cold start up.
Since the new f-clutch I’ve noticed she does this on every start up, at operating temp. Again thought this was normal. I deliver pizzas for my retirement job, so engine is warm for those hours. Sometimes only off for 5-10 mins. Every time I take off it goes through that process. Its that normal, or is it a closed/open loop thing I read about?
TIA. Peter

I don't understand. I have a 2000, 4.7. Mine doesn't do anything special or sound any different when I start it cold.

I wouldn’t know bud sorry. Though most vehicles will have a high start up rpm at idle to warm up cold engines for a minute or so then reside at 7500 rpm.
Mines not doing that when warm at idle. It’s after I start a warm engine and entering a road I hear the “freight train” sound and takes longer to go into second. I knew this to be normal with a cold engine. At 200-210 I wouldn’t think it would do that. May be just normal procedures for a working fan clutch. I dunno

You may have a sticky idle air control valve. Take it apart and clean it.

Will do. A while back she’d occasionally rev up and down in park. Changed Throttle positioning sensor and was fine. Just underneath it is IAC valve. Just recently she will occasionally jump up on rpms at startup whether cold/warm engine and stay around 1k rpms. Was planning to swap the IAC out.
Been so focused on clutch, never really thought about IAC for any other than idle rpm issues.
Am I correct that on a warm engine it shouldn’t do the high fan sound til it hits 2nd gear like at cold start?
Thanks again Dave!
