Default Factory Foglights on with high beams...

...I know I've seen a thread on this before somewhere and I haven't had any luck finding it. I know that it's a pretty easy project to do, but I want to be able to have my fog lights on with my high beams.

Of course, I could run a separate switch... but I don't want to. I want to keep it as close to factory as possible. And besides, I'm putting some fog lights on the grill guard and I'd really rather not have any extra switches than are necessary.

My Jeep is a 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo.

Any info/links/help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

you would need to tap into the high beam cuircut, that way you can use the power wire as the switch useing a relay

Just a little heads up, you may want to check out your local laws cause in some states it is illegal.

Yeah, I ran them on my Blazer all the time. Most newer cars ride with them on all the time too. At least from what I've noticed.

I can't imagine it being illegal with brights on.... the idea is to be able to see in bad road conditions and you turn them off when other vehicles pass by. But I mean, you're right... it's worth checking into - I've heard of more ridiculous laws.

They have them work with low beam only so you don't accidently leave you high beams on with the fogs and blind oncoming traffic. I mounted a seperate set of driving lights that work with my high beam. Two big Hella 700FFs on a Safari Bar.

IMO a properly aimed set of fogs won't bother oncomming traffic. They are supposed to be aimed down close to the front anyways!

Speaking of rediculous laws, Virginia MN has a law that states you can't park your elephant on main street!
