Ok so here's the deal.. my key fob stopped working recently. So I started using my key to unlock my Jeep and lock it from the driver door. Well I changed the batteries in the key fob last night thinking that might help.. didn't do any good. Well now, if I lock my Jeep from the drivers side, it locks all doors, arms the alarm however, when I put the key into the door to unlock it and shut off the alarm, it doesn't work any more and the alarm goes off. The only way to disarm is to put the key into the ignition..


I've pulled every fuse and combed through everything and I cannot think of what is causing the alarm to malfunction.

I have an 03 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7 with Quadratrac ..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I'm absolutely lost at what to do.

 

you need to do a key fob relearn

 

Reprogram the key fob?

 

you might want to check the connector that connects to the back of the door key lock cylinder . if it pops off then the alarm wont deactivate
