Default Factory alarm

Awhile back someone did a write up on how to disable the factory alarm. I have searched but cannot find the exact article. If I remember correctly it involved cutting a purple and white wire and grounding it out...can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

I just did my 94 ZJ. Find the purple/yellow wire. Cut it and tape off the end
coming from the lock. Ground the wire leading to the front of the door. The hardest part was removing and reinstalling the door panel.

What would be the reason for doing this?

Just today I programmed a remote for my 94 so I can unlock the doors with my $34 fob. I thought it was pretty cool and an advantage over nothing at all.

Why do you want to do this?
