Epic Level Challenge AW4 Swap
SOLUTION: The terminal plug for the injector (4.0L) to engine interconnect wiring is slightly different for 93 and 94. This is the oval plug located top left on passenger side firewall.
The only difference between the two are pins 2 and 3. 93 uses pin 2 for a ground. 94 uses pin 3 for TCU/BATT/DIAG/FEED
Bu grounding pin 2 I was able to start. And, I took it out for a spin, no leaks and just around the block it shifted nicely up to 3 (tomorrow we'll see if it goes up to 4).
My ABS amber light is illuminated on the instruments. I dunno if that is related to the missing pin 3 or if there was an abs system in pre 93.
I've posted this solution for those people who wish to do a AW4 conversion in their OBDI jeeps. Swapping out the harness TCU/PCU is the best bet as long as you know to ground pin 2.
