Default Whine between 45 & 70 while under power?

Sorry to start so many threads, but I have so many questions, lol.

I've read a few threads about this topic, but didn't find a definitive solution or answer.

My 2007 GC 5.7 Quadra-Drive makes a fairly annoying whine between the speeds of 45 & 70 mph (stops above 70 mph) ONLY while I am in the throttle. If I lift my foot off the pedal, it quits. The vehicle has 80,000 miles and the service records indicate that the fluids have been changed according to the maintenance schedule.

Has anyone found the definitive cause of this noise? Transfer case? Transmission? Bearing? There are so many things that come to mind, I don't know where to start in an effort to track this down..............

My guesses:
1. Pull the plug in the axle cover, and check the fluid level. It should be at the bottom of the plug hole I believe for your model. Check the front diff too if 4WD equipped.
2. Check the drive-shaft universal joints, for wear/play, or a need for lubrication.
3. Check the front drive (if equipped) CV joints for torn boots, or signs of damage.
JMO of course.

I'm gonna go with number 1 from above.
That type of noise is often associated with gear whine. Where is the noise coming from?
You may also be hearing the trans whine a little maybe?

I'm guessing worn carrier or pinion bearings, or u joint. Is it lifted at all? Maybe your pinion angle is slightly off

I didn't consider those since it sounded like a bone stock low miles DD.

But after thinking about it, and as stated by customzj73, a bad pinion bearing would make a whining noise under acceleration, and a lower tone noise during deceleration that wouldn't change when cornering. If the noise varied when cornering, as in got louder on a right turn- that would indicate a bad right wheel bearing because of weight transfer, and vice-versa. JMO of course.
