Yes, there's absolutely so much electronics on a WJ that it would be absolutely ridiculous to attempt a crazy engine swap. Read through some of the engine swap threads, and the amount of fabrication/time/money spent is unreal.

Make sure you use a 4.7 from a 99-00. In 01 or 02, Chrysler went from a 16 tooth reluctor ring on the crank to a 32 tooth. And no, thats not something you can "just swap out". Also, just FYI, pulling that motor out of that small engine bay is a royal pain. There are grounds and connectors all over that motor. Its also literally wedged into the bay. VERY TIGHT fit. just so you know, the 4.7 in the Dakota, Durango, and the Rams will work as well, just make sure of the tooth count on the reluctor ring. Also, the crank position, knock, cam position, throttle position, oil pressure sensors have very fragile connectors on them. Be careful disconnecting them. I know this because I helped pull a 4.7 from a 99 Cherokee AND I did the heads on my 00 Durango. 99 was the first year for the 4.7 in ANY CryCo vehicle, and 00 was the first year for Dodge. The first gen 4.7 is an unreliable motor; Lots of issues with blown head gaskets and oil sludge in the oil galleys causing chewed up bearings. They also tend develop a bad "tick" from the valvetrain after 100K miles.

Youre welcome. Once you get all the bugs worked out, its a good motor. At around 90K-110K miles, I started having sensors go bad. Not at one time but through the course of about 1 1/2 years I had to replace them all. I had to do my heads at 93K. Now I have a charging issue and I think I have a collapsed lash adjuster or 2. Have a pertty bad valve tick at startup.
