Sunbscribed-
Apologies for the addition but perhaps both the OP post and my question are all related...
My passenger side rear door lock wont unlock either
All the other ones unlock OK when I push the unlock button but this acts up?
In addition the other day that same window wouldn't operate as well and about a minute later worked fine??
Is there a part or something I need to order/replace/repair ?
PeterB.
Thank you. Back to OPs electrical issues;

Old fart with a wrench
Peter, I don't know why, but that particular door on the WJs seem to be a problem. My window is binding up and the lock slide won't move, by hand or with the electric actuator. I know 2 other guys with the same problem, same door, same problem. The actuator on my passenger's front door is burned out, but I can lock it by hand.
Jon, My lights don't come on occasionally when I open the door but will if I start it with the door open. Go figure. The switches in the WJ are plunger micro-switches in the door latches. I just have been working on my tailgate latches and the switches are held in by one screw and a twist to release. I'm assuming the door switches are the same.

Hi Dave, How's everything with you? Good I hope. Slow and steady here...
Do you follow the NHL at all? Pretty good Ranger game last night ha? BlackHawk's played well also.
Thank you for your post. That's interesting isn't it. I did as FishBone suggested and made friends with the Parts guy at the Dealer, no biggie brought over a dozen dunkin donuts and chit chatted with them a few minutes. They told me there's rods in there (forget what they're called) and sometimes they may bend as a result the switch doesn't engage it properly? Not sure. The switch itself is $27 on line and $37 at the dealer. He suggested taking the panel off and checking things out before spending the $ on the switch...
That said my switch does feel kinda mushy to the down mode? I don't feel the click like feel. So maybe I have a double issue. I'm sure like yourself and everyone else I wish I could prop out the $40/50K for a 2014 and that beautfil new body style and coverage but I don't so grin and bear it.
Thanks again for your input. Its greatly appreciated. Enjoy your weekend.
