Default drivers side rear locks

hey guys, I have an 04' grand, the drivers side back door lock does not respond to the key fob or the drivers door controls. Electrical issue or do I need a new actuator? Any help is greatly appreciated.

you may have to pull the door panel and see if there is any voltage at the motor when you hit the switch

When I got my 94 it had 2 dead door lock solenoids. they are part of the latch assembly and are over $100 each new. I looked online and found some universal ones on ebay for like $5 each and installed them and they work great and are stronger than the originals that still work. Been on the jeep for over a year and still working great.

thanks Max. can you give a run down of there location? Im a novice.

As far as testing the lock with a multi meter. I tried and got nothing as far as readings.,, all that proves is that I dont know how to use a multi meter.
