Default door switches

The one that turns the dome lights and key in iginition when door is open,
where is it located? I've looked around the perimeter of the door, looking for some kind of button with no luck.
TIA

I've checked there -- nothing. Someone told me that it's in the lock (latch).

jomkps, guess I'll take another look, but me nor my neighbor saw anything there.

94zjdriver, I only spent a year there 70-71, so it wasn't as bad as what you had.
My MOS was 1371 (combat engineer) meant I got to blow things up! gotta love C4.

there is a sensor or something that recognizes when your door is shut;

ex. If you shut the door my wj takes 30 seconds or however long for the interior lights to go off.

test....i used my finger to push the piece that releases or opens when you open or close door. when I pushed that piece in the lights turned off the same amount of seconds later....so there it is
