I have a 2005 Grand Cherokee Hemi, the left interior door handle came detached after plastic surround broke over weekend of 108 temp. Dealership telling me the door panel must be replaced at $687 plus labor. Searched jeep sites and no one seems to have this part. Anyone had this problem? Fix?

 

Door handle should be mounted on 2 bolts(philips screw). The screw run into plastic clip. You should be able to replace the plastic clips.

 

I won't spend $687 for a broken door panel handle...
Try to fix it on your own and improvise...
