I just bought a 1997 Grand Cherokee Laredo.
The previous owner put a sunroof in and did some "Custom wiring"
Photo Album of wiring.
As you can see he tied into the Cirgar Lighter and the power outlet for the sunroof and the EVIC on the ceiling (which he barely installed). Now the VIC below the radio does not work at all.
I'm not sure how to test it but I picked up one at the u-pull yard the other day. Sadly mine uses 1 plug and the one i pulled uses 2.

Does anyone know how I can test my current one to see if it needs to be replaced or if he just messed up the wiring?

I still need help with this.

I'm going to test the power pins on the one I currently have.
I believe it's going to be pin 2 and 3. If I get power through the harness there then I'm going to assume my VIC is bad OR my cpu is bad. If anyone can help me out here please let me know.

pin 2 and 3 measures 12v... Any ideas?

Pins 2 to 20 also 12v.

I'm going to get an appointment at a dealership to have it tested.
I'm out of Idea's.
