Default Do I need a new track bar?

Hi guys, I have a friend who is always trying to sell me his used parts for his XJ and making excuses for me to buy them.

He recently told me that if I lift my jeep higher, I would need a new track bar. I currently have a 3-3.5" lift on my jeep right now and I am getting 1.5" spacers to make it a 4.5 lift

Would I need to buy his track bar?

Anything over 3 inches should use an adjustable track bar front and rear.

I believe it is a 3.5" pro comp lift, I'm not too sure, it could be RC, but the arms are white

Kind of hard to answer your questions if you won't help.

Don't listen to your friends excuses for why you should buy his parts. Never pay more than 50% of the parts new value for the used part. Determine with your own build plan if you need the part, or should start with a new part. If you go the 4.5" or more lift you will need a longer track bar, could go with an adjustable bar of products offering new bar mounting brackets. You will have to do some more research. Don't get pressured into the parts purchases. After all is there a lineup of others waiting to jump on the used parts sale. Make a solid plan with where you want your jeep to go and what you will need. For a real good reference and how to information try "gojeep.com" excellent site on many aspects of XJ builds.
