Default Crank shaft sensor...WTF?!?

So, I finally figure out the cps is bad on my ZJ (4.0) I replaced it (pain in the rear) it worked well for like a day, then....same problem, hesitation at highway speed. My question is, has anyone ever heard of the cps becoming heat soaked? If so, how do/did you remedy the issue?

You can test the cps with a manual and a meter. If the new one is bad, then I bet it was not a mopar sensor. Most veterans on here will tell you that when it comes to sensors, use mopar.

X2. The following will tell you how to test the CPS.
