Couple of swap questions?? Please
I have a 1998 ZJ 4.0L Laredo. I just bought a 1996 ZJ limited 5.2L. I recently replaced all the brakes including rotors and pads front and rear are they interchangeable? I also replaced the front wheel hubs and outter U joints on the front axle. Are these parts all swapable, as in will they fit on my new limited?
I picked up an almost spotless 1996 Grand Cherokee Limited v8 Quadtrac. get this... I bought it for $300 it is spotless inside and out. Needs a winshield, muffler and rear brakes. But I figured I literally just puts these parts mentioned on my 1998 less then a year ago. So if I can I would like to put them on my new ZJ and sell the old one as is.
All help is greatly appreciated.
The main thing I would like to be able to swap from my 4.0l to my 5.2l is the alternator. It's almost brand new. I realize the amperage is s bit smaller on the 4.0l but will it bolt up is the bigger question..

I've never had a 4.0L before. The '96 w/ the 5.2L V8 should have the D44 rear axle and the brakes might be different. They should both have disc's though, just check them out and see if they're the same. Or call a parts store and see if they interchange. If not, brakes are cheap.
Great find by the way.

It's hard to tell from the pics in my manual, but I think the mounting points are similar, just one is mounted upside down compared to the other. It "might" work.JMO
