Couple compatibility questions, transmission/transfer case
I have a 2000 4.7 WJ Laredo, exhaust rotted and melted a hole in the gas tank, bought a 2002 4.0 WJ solely for the gas tank and whatever other parts I might get out of it. I noticed the 02 has a select trac TC that I would like to swap for my quadra drive, the 02 also has less Kms on it so I was thinking I might go after the tranny as well, my worry is that either the TC might not line up or te gear ratios in the tranny would be different, does anyone here have any insight? Much appreciated, pretty new to this level of mechanics but super interested.
Thanks,
Brooks

You MAY be able to swap the t/case, but I don't know that anyone here has tried the newer ones yet.

As has been said, the tranny won't work. The tcase should work fine, just have to verify the front output yoke styles (CV or Rezeppa) and match it up to your driveshaft.
