Hi guys,

Just wanted to know if the control arms on a 98 Grand Cherokee are different lengths. I recently changed my control arm bushings and now I noticed that one wheel is pushed more forward than the other. Just want to know if I put the control arms on the wrong side.

Thanks.

The front lower arms have cam bolts at the front to adjust the camber. They will move the wheels fore and aft a little. Didn't you mark them before removal?

Mark it I did not. I will look for the cam bolts to adjust the camber.

Thanks a mil!

Ok, I've adjusted the control arms but they are still not even. The left front wheel is at least an 1.5" more forward (in the wheel well) that the right front wheel (which is centered).

So going back to my original question: Are the two front lower control arms same length or is one shorter than the other?

They should be the same length. Measure the arms to check that. The cam for the Grands is at the axle, not the frame end of the LCA.

If they ARE the same length, look for damage at the axle or the frame.
