I remember back in the day when u had a car or truck with a saggy spring u could buy those "spring stretchers" they were a little pinch bracket that goes between 2 coils and as u turn them they stretch the spring open more "lifting" the vehicle
Does anyone around here use these or is there a product like these that u can use on the stock suspension to give yourself a 2" lift front and back??

Figured so.. I have read that some people use some sort of "spacer" but I was unsure if this item is what they are talking about or if there is some sorta spacer plate or something people are using..Originally Posted by fantic238
Bad idea...
sounds good.. Not sure if I will even do it but I am looking for a cheap way to lift it just a touch.. ride quality is nothing I really worry about to much..
I just don't have enough disposable income for a full setup or of course that is the way I would go.

those are ok. Ride will be a little stiffer but definitely better.

I actually just put those twist in ones, in my front springs the other day... I put them in the fron coils to level the ride till I can get some coil spacers from KOR... Worst thing that could happen is they fall out and I am out a few bucks, like 10 bucks I think.
hummm I think the spacers are pretty cheap.. just wonder how easy it is to do..

One thing that many people do wrong when mounting the coil spacers is putting the spacer directly on the spring. There is a rubber isolator where the coil is seated that is half inch thick and has the shape adapted to the coil. The spacer goes between the isolator and the body, otherwise the sharp edge of the coil will crush the neoprene of the spacer.

THX.. when I get back on my feet (financially) I will snag them up.. Now at a 2" lift on my ZJ will I have any problem with the drive shaft angle or anything else?
