I recently purchased my 2005 GC Limited. My info center is froze & won't do anything. When I turn the key off I get the following codes.
Software ver.05.12.00
Bootloader ver.00.52.00
EEPROM ver.05.22.00
Hardware ver.05.10

Other than the Info center not working the car runs fine...no problems. I've had a 1999 GC & very familiar with the typical problems with Jeeps especially the first year of that generation. I have always done my own mechanical work now 62 years old. I have never seen this code before. I bought a 5 year warranty with this car because of the horror stories with the 2005...my wife had to have this one. If it's something I can't do I'll take it to the dealer but don't want to go there dumb. Thanks for looking!

 

Someone will correct me if i am wrong, but those are not codes. Those numbers refer to the version of software being used. Personal computers are the same way. Whats wrong i have no idea.

 

My 2000 WJ was recalled for a software update 2 years ago. They also replaced the door pillar seatbelt bolts and added an intake manifold heat shield. Check with your dealer to see if yours is on the recall list.
