Just been changing the crankshaft position sensor on my WJ 4.7 V8, the fitted one is super tight in the block and as luck would have it just been trying to work it loose and its snapped off flush with the block !!!!!!!!! the result being now that the sensor from the rubber o-ring down is now still in the block .

The question now is how do i get it out ?? can I -
a - drop the sump off and drive it out from inside ?
b - try and knock something into it and pick it out in pieces ?
c - knock it through into the inside and retreive from inside sump ?
d - any other suggestions
does'nt really help much as you've got limited room on the V8's to start with
thanks in advance

I have drilled them before, basically done like its a broken bolt, easy-outs may help too, also used pics and such to dig them out. You might coat the new one around the o-ring area with anti-seize or a good grease.
