Default cherokee electrical concerns

considering jeep Cherokee for daily driver and flat towing behind motorhome. when i began blogging the different Cherokees an d different years, the following began to show up on comments. electrical, electrical, electrical electrical problems from modules, wipers, seat motors, window motors, dash lights, many other electrical situations. this was from Edmund.com site for consumers, consumers in general. The question is what have others done in the jeep arena to solve these issues. I was interested but i don't want to have to spend fortune correcting issues over and over. should say fixing not correcting .

I've heard stories too, but have never had any such issue with either the '97 Grand or '04 Grand Cherokee's. The '97 had 187,000+ miles when I sold it to my son, and the '04 has 105,000+ miles on it. Was I just lucky? I don't think so. I just think you only hear the bad stories, the people wanting help with their problems. You never hear from the thousands of owners that don't have problems.

I have 191k on my 95 ZJ, 35k that I put on in the last year and a half, no issues electricaly other than the alternator failing because the brushes were just worn out. I've had no issues with anything on my Jeep, I've replaced worn items and have done a few mods, but nothing has really gone wrong.

On my 93 the alarm decided to go south, easy fix...I installed the jumper wire. And the VIC always state the left rear door is open. Other than those 2 issues, not on wood, I have not had any issues.
