Changing Brake Fluid
Hi,
I purchased a 2002 Grand Cherokee WJ approximatelt a month ago and it's needed some work, but really just the basics. When I went to Change the brake Fluid, I noticed 2 reservoirs, only one of which I could get into to remove the fluid. To access that second reservoir, is there a special trick to it? I plan to bleed the brakes after I get all the fluid out. Or is it that the only way to remove the fluid in that second reservoir to bleed the brakes? In other words, do I have to bleed the brakes in order to get the fluid out of that second reservoir?
Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated
Thanks!

Welcome to CF!
IDK what to tell you, guy. I've never heard of an 02 WJ with 2 brake reservoirs. When we changed my brake fluid, my buddy used a pressure bleeder and just let it run until it came out clear, starting with the right rear caliper, then finishing the rest normally. This is a hand pumped pressurized can with a cap that seals over the brake reservoir. Easy, Peasy. It even had a pipe on the cap so it stays full without being overfull when you're done. He said that's the best way to bleed an ABS equipped car.
Maybe you have a different style of ABS unit with it's own reservoir. If so, that's going to be a PITA to bleed out.
