I'm planning on using my stock doors to build a set of water proof tube/ canvas doors (for the fun of tube doors, and the convenience of permanent doors).

I'm using the stock doors for the weather stripping and mold of the door (it already fits the Jeep) just gonna cut the middle out and build a frame in it.

I want to use Chromoly (any cautions I should take?).

I'm just curious if anyone has done this succesfully?

 

oh, and does Chromoly weld nice to regualr steel?
(I'm not a welding expert, barely know how).
