Default Brake Assembly

My brake socket on my right brake assembly does not work. I put in both working sockets and bulbs, but to no avail; the brake light just won't work.

Is there anyway to fix this without replacing the whole brake assembly? I was told there was a circuit board that can be replaced, but I'm not sure if that's true or not. Thanks.

Check for melted plastic where the contacts of the tailight assembly and the sockets meet. When they get hot, they sink into the plastic and break contact. You can pry them up and put stuff under them so they make contact. One poster used folded aluminum foil. It seems to be a Jeep problem if you spend a lot of time sitting at traffic lights or hung up in traffic, holding the brakes on too long. Not much you can do about it except move to the country.

While working in a customer's jeep, one socket was bad. Comparing the new socket to the old, there was a 1/16 inch difference. The old socket terminals recessed that much
