Default Biggest tires for a non-mod '97 GC?

I have a '97 Grand Cherokee TSi, unmodified. What's the biggest tire I can put under it without it rubbing?

I have a 96 with the upcountry suspension and i just put on 245/70/16's and they rubbed the fron bumper in reverse with the wheel turned just right. Had to trim a very small piece off the bumper. Id say that is the largest size you could run....

Because this question get's asked at least twice a day, if not more. It's stickied everywhere and not that hard to find with a forum search or a google search.

Threads about "What tire can I fit" or "What's the biggest and cheapest lift I can do" should be groomed from the forum by the mods and the offending posters should get a warning.

It's not nearly as simple as you can run this size, but not that one....

Wheel dimensions have ALOT to do with it. I have a set of 235/75/15's on my 94.. they rub at lock. Because I have them on XJ wheels.

But im sure there accustom to google

Like 721 said above, we see this question all the time...its not that hard to go to google or hit the search bar and type a few key words in and find your answer...not only is it annoying to see all the time it really clogs up the forum with a question thats been answered a hundred times.

I'm not offended, it's just annoying. They may be new to the forum but they certainly aren't new to the internet. Like Kyle said it clogs up the forums, I generally try to ignore them but they pop up all the time and they push the more relevant and, interesting if you will, threads down the page where they don't get read and they don't get answered.
