Default best spark plug gap.

94 5.2L zj. Has 215k

I need to change the spark plugs and was curious what everyone runs for gap.

My computer says .035 or .044

Which do u guys think I should put them at.

I'm guessing with higher mileage maybe a smaller gap

I set them at .040 and installed them

now to change the wires since they all fell apart

For a '94 5.2L V8 the plugs should be Champion RC12YC, or equivalent, @ 0.035" gap.

Was .035 for me as well, with the Azone employee telling me the majority of GCs are that way.

My old ones had over a .1 gap and could basically slide all the way around my little meter P.O had never replaced them from factory

I used Denso plugs (I wont use champion) and I set the gap at .040 my computer said .044 when using Denso.

i like to do side gap. you may have to change them a little bit more but you get the same performance as you would from the split fires for half the cost
