Question Ball joints over ebay - 4.0 ZJ

I need to know if ball joints for all ZJ models are same. Ours is 1997 laredo 4.0 selectrack.

I found bal joints over ebay and they ship to my country. Plus they are very cheap.

Could you please tell me if they are correct parts?

According to the compatability chart, I would say yes. All D30s are basically the same, as you can see by the huge number of vehicles it fits.

Thanks for information. According to list they are ok for 4.0

i am afraid they wont sell Dana Spicer replacements to overseas.

I think i will need to stick to aftermarket ones over ebay. They are cheap and i am sure they are much better than loose ones on our car(probably these are the same ones with the aftermarket ones sold here with expensive price tags.)

I bought ebays and the shanks were not the right length... Also not all dana 30's are the same... The WJ has different lowers... I ended up using the ones from advanced as they finally fit correctly top and bottom... Use there part numbers... All the parts stores are different when held side by side... But all call for the same jeeps... So the system aint right

some of vendors choose to use expensive shipping option overseas. this makes shipping twice expensive than actual value of part.

about part numbers or car references... how to be sure that part is the right part?

i heard about adjutable ball joints and found them over ebay ( i heard about them whan i decided to do caster adjustment last year)

they are really expensive. USD ~82 each
why do we need them?

Measure total length of the old ball joint... Total length of the threads... Total length of the shaft... See what new one matches the old the best... Sadly i got mine and pressed them in then installed knuckle and the knuckles say 1/4in lower then oem specs throwing my axle shaft all off... Was pissed cause pressing them in and out is a frickin chore...

well, i will soon be dismayed at difficulty on finding correct parts over ebay.

if i remove ball joints, and then decide, this means i will be waiting ball joints and car will be on jack stands for two weeks.

thanks for answers my friends. I am not sure what to do. it will be better to buy locally or.. little gambling never hurts

I have lower ball joints for a d30 axle for sale in the misc for sale section. I put them in for a day then took them out. $30 plus shipping for both. Check it out.

I think you're missing a key element here. Shipping overseas expensive because that's what the freight companies charge (with good reason). There are also taxes and duties that have to be considered.

I've shipped a few things overseas but for most buyers it's not cost effective to order from any offshore vendor...not just those located in the U.S.A.
