Default Coolant Senor Temp Message

Hello...I have 97 grand cherokee laradeo i recently changed the coolant temp senor and the message board says that the senor is still bad. Any suggestions?

It's a common malfunction. The message. Not the sensor.

As long as you look once in a while, and your coolant is full..you're fine.

Later you might get the rear light out message too. Also false. The VIC just starts failing and giving false warnings after a while.

there is a way to fix it, search the threads. Mine does it but I don't care enough to fix it

Thanks Basegrinder...yeah im getting the rear lamp failure message too. So do u suggest i change out the level sensor in the reservoir?

Basically the sensor is fine. The problem is with the panel displaying the message. Your options are fix the panel or ignore the message.

you can try to remove VIC and re solder all soldering points. it may cure the problem.
