Default anyone ever seen this?

i bought this zj but it has a weird rear link set up. they used this huge bracket that attaches via the diff cover and u bolts to the axle tube instead of the stock upper control arm brackets. Name: 20140228_132221_zpse745444d.jpg

isnt a y link just like wishbone set up? with a single joint on the axle side? this is two seperate arms connecting right next to each other. is this a d44 swap from a wj?

You didn't mention that it had 2 separate arms in your first post.

ya sorry. lack of info. the lower control arms are in there stock position, body and axle. but the uppers are in this triangulated situation and the arms are bent. like front lower control arms. they are also adjustable. is this a legit way to do this or is it weird?

They probably did it that way to eliminate the track bar.

That is a D44a though, isn't it? Is this just a stiffener for off-road with the control arm addition?

Looks like the Rock Krawler bolt on rear truss and upper control setup for their Server Duty Long arm kit. I had the same Kit on my TJ, with the D35 the bracket looked the same. It was a Tirangulated 4 Link set up to remove the track bar.

thanks for the replys. sorry i havent been here. got the front all done. the only issue was the upper passenger CA is hitting the exhaust. i talked to a local exhaust shop they said it was no issue and gave me a quote for a whole new exhaust. i need a new muffler back exhaust anyways because the rear CA hit the mufflers. the rear is all torn apart in my driveway right now. ive spent all weekend trying to cut off the upper pockets. the previous owner welded 1/8th plate and braced it all in. such a pita
