Default amp to replace stock.

so im going to be getting some new speakers with my tax refund. the Infinity Reference 6032cf 6.5" 180 watt speakers. im wondering though, if i wanted to replace the stock amp. what would i need to go with? for right now, it would just be powering the door and dash speakers. maybe a 10 or 12 sub down the road. i have the infnity gold system, but no radio or speakers at the moment. just the factory amp. i already have my radio bought, and will have it installed with my sat radio as part of the refund binge as well. just curious what channel/brand/watt amp i would need to power all these things effectively. im partly deaf. so i like loud.

if you are just powering your component speakers a quality branded 4 channel amp would be fine. make sure you look at the RMS watts and not the max. you will want to match the RMS watts of the amp to your speakers RMS power range. Some quality brands are Kicker, JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Memphis, and Alpine. It really comes down to your budget. Now if you add a sub into the equation you can look at 5 channel amps. I don't have any experience with them and they have mixed reviews on quality of sound but the do offer a one amp solution for most applications.

If your partially deaf I wouldn't recommend reference series by any brand. Those Infinitis you speak of are 180 watts much that is max per pair which means your only getting 35w rms to each speaker, and that's only if your voltage is running a constant 14.4v. And if your keeping your stock head unit the you will need and app with a high end input or a line output converter in order to get the signal to the amp and out of your speakers. I personally get all of my audio equipment from audiosavings.com. if you want to drool and window shop then check out woofersetc.com.

I have beyma which I would absolutely recommend. Alpine type s or r ( not e). Infinity kappa are surprisingly good in comparison to others without using an app since they were built with a cook with less resistance. Less resistance means more output, plus they can put out higher frequencies than most brands for the price. Jl audio, Pioneer premier, Rockford fosgate power series, kicker, mb quart, focal. Those are just a few ideas. What's your price range and speaker sizes? Also if you are planning on using components,I would highly recommend using an external amp or wire them directly to the head unit. Reason being is that the crossover for the components and the stock amp tend to not get along. As for an amp I can't give you a good recommendation until I know what type of speakers you want. I personally have a Rockford t400.4 to my beymas. My bass setup is a whole nother animal.
