Default AM static from transmission ?

I have had my GC for a very long time.

Its always had the static buzzzz in the evenings and at night. Its not bad at all during the day. But when I am traveling it gets anoying very fast.

In the last week I noticed that when I slip the transmission into nuetral, the static is gone, completely. When i put it back into drive, buzzzzz.

anyone else ever experience this at all ?

If you have, and you found the culprit and fixed it, please let me know what you did !

Maybe it is a solenoid going bad. Does it shift and act okay?
