After sitting, slow cranking no start. than on second attempt cranks fast and starts
2008 WK Diesel CRD, When I try to start after sitting for over 8 hours or so it cranks slowly and fails to start 90% of the time, when it finishes cranking and I crank it again it cranks at normal speed and starts straight up. this happens every time without fail, it has done this since I got it.
when it starts it blows quite a bit of white smoke and has a strong exhaust smell, this clears up straight away.
I'm thinking maybe a leaking check valve, but that doesn't explain the slow crank, or maybe a leaking injector?
