Starting problems
I have a 96 xj and it will start 3 times in a row but if you try to starting a fourth time it will not start it won't even try it will just crank.i know it has a intake leak and o2s are unplugged but this problem just started happening and it will smell like fuel like it's flooded then I ha to wait a few hours and try again.same thing happens if it warms up if I shut it off it won't start till it gets cools.i am thinking it's a bad crank sensor or maybe plugs

Kinda I start it and let it idle for a minute then shut it down and do it again it will start 3 times then will just crank the 4th time and not even try to start but every plug has good spark same thing happens if you start it and drive for like a half an hour It won't try to start it will just crank

If you have observed spark, it is not the crank position sensor.
Next time it wont start:
1. Press the pedal to the floor (completely)
2. Crank the engine 5-6 times
3. Release the pedal (completely)
4. Try starting again
I'm guessing it is an air/fuel mixture problem (probably resulting in a flood) and at the root of it is your unplugged upstream o2 sensor, and your air leak. You should correct those.
