Default Accident

Hey guys,

Some idiot decided to hit me going about 30 whilst I was waiting at a light... It hit pretty hard and now the thing wont start. The tank is badly dented but not leaking. I noticed the fuel gauge stopped working after he hit.

I have been under the car and there is a connector that is crushed. I have tried to plug it back in but a few of the pins are broken off. The fuel gauge is working now - but still no gas getting to the engine. I am hoping its just this connector that is broken... Does anyone know if this is the power to the fuel pump aswell as the fuel gauge? If so can I just cut the connector off for now and join the wires??

The only problem I see is that there are 4 wires going in to each connector - but the colors dont match... how do I know which ones to join?

I just want to get it running so I can move it. Its a 2002 Cherokee 4.0

Thanks in advance

Hmmm no leaks nothing? Are you going to need a new gas tank or any new rear end parts? Did anyone look at it?
