Default 99 WJ Taillight and Parking light issues..Perspectives?

I have no taillights or parking lights (also no courtesy lights unless I turn them on manually, which is No Big Deal). I have checked fuses and all appear fine. However, I also found NO fuse labeled 'Taillights' or the like. I did find 'park lamp' fuse and, again, it appears fine. I have brake lights (or current is flowing there I should say) but it blows the 'brake switch' fuse when I get the bulb(lamp) centered to align with the terminals. I think we all know the horrors of these light housing malfunctions in the WJ's, e.g. the bulbs melting the plastic. I have head lights and right blinker but left blinker is out (bulbs are all new). I am starting to presume that my problem may lie in the JB C1 or JB C2. Does this sound reasonable and/or seen many times before by others here in the forum? I had taillights for quite some time and was using them as my brake lights (daytime only) as I had no brake lights, but it just took a 1/4 turn of the bulb sockets to get the brake lights to come on, but they blow the fuse, brake switch fuse, when the left side is correctly centered in the socket(or incorrectly). As I alluded to before, these light housings in the WJ's are far short of well engineered. Anyway, Any Ideas? Now I can't even use my tail lights as my brake lights and can't even drive in the daytime (legally anyway). And, of course, this method of travel is lacking and tedious is so many ways. I appreciate any insights you can provide. Many thanks in advance.

My advise is to download the FSM from pacificcoastmanuals.com which has a complete wiring diagram and trace out the circuits step by step. If you have a trailer tow wiring package, I suggest removing it first as the possible culprit.

Default Thanks

Thanks Dave. I'll do that. I figured I was going to have chase wires eventually anyway. At least then the problem can be solved for good. Until the next pops up. Which Is Always. haha. Thanks Again.
