99 stops sometimes

99 stops sometimes
Ok this is for my sister in law, 99 Grand Cherokee, v-8.
while driving the engine quits, will not crank, and every indicator light on the dash comes on. After about 2 hours of setting starts and runs fine , maybe for a mile maybe for a week. Battery goes dead from setting after a few days. Has had the problem for about 2 years.
Has had it to several garages with out a successful repair.
Now it's my turn, I know little about Cherokees, but we have an intermitant problem, probably electrical. I have extensive shade tree experience, and will get a book so I can trace and ohm out wiring. Have a code reading device to help.
Been looking for a post thats similar without success.
Any help, would be a help,shes ready to junk it.

I could be wrong but it sounds ECU related to me. Electronics can get very weird depending on temperature and humidity.
