93 ZJ Door Locks Problem
I did a search but did not find an answer.
Need help with 93 ZJ. All 4 of my door lock / unlock switch’s will unlock all my doors fine, but will not lock any of the doors? What would be the common problem here? I wouldn’t think a broken wire at the door to body connection could cause this but I don’t know. Is there a relay just for unlock?

problem could be in the master switch at the drivers door, there should be only one relay. you could try that first cuz theyre relatively cheap

Thanks, I was thinking it was 1 common point. Didn’t know that, that side would be wired as a master. I’ll try that.

Theres actually 2 relays in the 93 ZJ. Well there is in mine anyways. Same problem happend to me. Turns out in my jeep the ground for the lock relay signal runs to the courtesy module and wont allow you to lock your doors if the keys in the ignition. So if the module is not working correctly or there is a problem with this wire it will do that. Basically pull the glove box panel to access the relays, figure which one is the lock relay and check to see if your getting ground to the signal circuit on the relay. What my fix was to pull the relay panel up a bit and run a ground wire to the signal ground on the lock relay and just block the ground to the courtesy module off. Now we can lock our doors anytime we want. Only now when you lock the doors it automatically arms the security alarm and with the key sensor being broken it triggers everytime you open the drivers door. Haha, add that to the list.
