'99 4.7l radiator drain plug
Hello, I am trying to find a new radiator drain plug for '99 Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7L. I have tried looking one up
and also have tried many possibilities. It looks threaded about 1/4" and nothing seems to work. I'll post a picture of where it goes, does anyone know of what can be used for it? Mine is just missing after draining the radiator and a weatherstorm happened. It could be under ice and snow now.......

This might work.
Seller says it is for earlier models, but a buyer with an '04 said it worked fine.
Best I could fine...

O'Reilly confirms the '04 fit, as well as a large number of models before and after '99, but not '99 itself...

My best advise is get one from a junkyard, clean it up, use epoxy on it, and don't ever use it again. I just pull the lower hose to drain it. I've seen too many that leak after using them.
Thanks again for all the help. Went to another town searching for a plug at salvage yards and only could find one from a '94 but it didn't fit either. Went by NAPA there and they helped alot by grabbing a radiator they had and comparibg the plastic plug to a 12mm x 1.75 thread. Used a washer and epoxy for it. Won't ever take that off again. If I have to drain the radiator I'll be doing it from the lower hose! Such a pain in the *** this was.
