It almost sounds like the PCM went into "theft mode" and shut everything down. do you have spark? If no. Do you have voltage at the primary coil plug? if yes. Does the ground on the primary pulse when cranking? If yes. What is the fuel pressure?
If you have voltage at the primary coil plug, but the ground stays lit or does not pulse, you have a cam or crank sensor issue. If you have a pulsing ground and voltage, but no spark, you have a coil issue. If you got none of those things, you have an electrical issue, maybe the PCM.

Great input..thanks!
However i think i might be updating here tomorrow that i'v won the bonehead of the year award.
I also have a thread at NAXJA, nw-xj-scott chimed in mentioning the 20amp fuse in PDC underhood.. thats when it dawned on me i had that same fuse blow on the XJ early this year.
Thats when i realized that i believe i took the fuse from the ZJ to fix the XJ...

Gettin old aint all it's rumored to be..

I'll be picking up a few of these little bits of magic electrical wonders in the very near future.
It just totally slipped my mind that i had done that. Bonehead..
