I just got a new 98 grand Cherokee Laredo with the straight 6 4.0 and it's got 4x4 selec-track and I need to adjust the linkage and im not sure where to adjust it . I also know nothing about it including what kind or trans or axles. If anyone knows where got find those specs or pictures of my linkage or anything that would be great!

im pretty sure the linkage on ZJ's has the "pop on" tabs (dont know the correct term) so you cant adjust it like you could on my truck which has a set screw on the rod.

 

Dealership. theyll need the last 9 digits of your vin and will give you the build sheet, i have mine sitting under the driver seat lol

 

On the differentials, there should be a tag on the covers telling what it is
and what gears are inside.

As for the rest, 42RE for transmission and the front end is a D30 and in the rear more then likely a D35.
