98 grand cherokee help
No lights are flashing. Im done working on it for the day, I been messing with it for 6 hours now. I disconnected the battery till tomorrow to see if maybe that will reset anything, before I try this
"take the dash front piece off on the driver side look at the wires coming from the colum there will be probably 3-4 wires taged at on this harness should be red-yellow-blue and maybe a purple the oem yellow wire should be cut and branch off to 2 wires if you want to get rid of the alarm there will be a black box that has the wires running up to the colum harness just disconnect the harness from the box you can take the wiring out or just leave it there now to make it start again the yellow wire thats but at the ignition harness cut off the branched off wires and put the wire back together like stock "
Im just bummed because I was trying to help a family member that came to me with a simple tune-up and now we are both stumped

pumping the fuel pedal will not accomplish anything since it's the spark that's getting cut. the pcm is in alarm mode and until it is told to "chill out" you'll be beating a dead horse with anything you try to do. I understand you've tried the alarm resets, but try this once again.
after reconnecting the battery, using the key lock and unlock the drivers door, then attempt to start the vehicle. If this doesn't work then you may have a stuck relay somewhere in the circuit.

1. Check alarm status with a scan tool in data line mode. Scan data should say (System enabled/Fuel allowed). After cranking and allowing the engine to stall, see if the status has changed to (System disabled/Fuel not allowed). If it does,
2. Remove the key from the ignition. Exit vehicle and close the doors and hood and rear hatch. With the key, lock the passenger door from the outside and then unlock the passenger door. Enter the vehicle and attempt to start the engine.

Its ALIVE!! barely
... I unhooked the battery for a couple days. Hooked it up today and before I touched anything I unlocked and locked the drivers door twice and it started. Starts everytime but its a little ruff. All in all im done with it. Thanks for everything
