I've owned my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee for about a year now, and have noticed a few times that my factory alarm system will not be disarmed when I use my key in the driver/passenger doors (rear latch lock won't turn at all).

I was wondering if anybody here has had this same problem, and knows an easy fix to just this one time get my alarm to shut off so I can start the vehicle. I'd prefer not to have to cut any wires, and the lower the cost the better, seeing as I'm a college student already working 2 jobs just to pay tuition. If anything, just a diagnosis similar to what my local dealer would charge me a stupid fee for would be awesome.
