98 g.c transmission puzzle
I have a 98 grand Cherokee 4x4. Changed trans filter and gasket today. While cleaning the pan I found a piece of metal attached to the magnet. It is 1/16 thick, 3/16 wide, and if it were a complete circle it would have a diameter of 5.75 inches. it is about 3 inches end to end. The trans works fine. any idea what it could be. thanks for help. Ps car has 256k miles, complete trans rebuild by pros. 60 k miles ago, and fluid flush and filter 20 k ago.
