Hi with the pump you have filled it, you should be able to reduce the pressure also.

what makes you think that you added to much? just press in on the center of the schrader valve to release the refrigerant. Keep your face away when you do it and heads up...it's illegal to vent into the atmosphere. It eats up the Ozone layer.

I dont think it will matter what side you let the excess out of, as soon as the pump is activated the refrigerant will end up in the high side anyways.

Do it with the engine shut off! The high side will be liquid and is under very high pressure. DO NOT use your fingernail, either. I'll have to check, but wasn't the '93s still using R12?

Okay, '93 used R12 but might have been after-market upgraded to R134a.
